Statement from Bishop Jugis about 3rd Annual Charlotte Catholic Men’s Conference
“There is nothing more important that we can do as men than to love and serve our Lord and His Catholic Church. There is also nothing more needed in these troubled times then for Catholic men to openly and authentically live their faith, within their families and in the public square.
All of us men have been called by our Lord to serve Him in whatever capacity He has ordained. Most of you attending this 3rd Annual Charlotte Catholic Men’s Conference have been called to the married life, and if so blessed, fatherhood as well. Some of you may be called to the priesthood or religious life. And still some of you may be serving our Lord by living a chaste and virtuous single life. Despite these different paths, we as Catholic men are called to be saints! The theme of this year’s conference, Man of Prayer/Man of Action serves to remind all of us that in order for our actions to be apostolic and to bear fruit, we must first be firmly grounded in a life of prayer and in a relationship with Jesus.
